Wildwood Construction is a multi-facetted business that not only creates , but also is an education center. This business can build to suit, small (conventional/timber frame) to large (conventional/timber frame) buildings, out-buildings, off-grid cabins, and reconstructions of historical buildings. Weather the project is a small remodel or addition or, a large home or barn, Wildwood Construction can accomidate most projects. There is a full shop that can create almost anything that includes; furniture, outdoor furniture, adirondack furniture, lattice, gazebos, pergolas, trellises, arch designs, fences and gates, small bridges, kitchen cabinets, mortise and tenon doors, and many more projects.Wildwood Construction also has a apprenticship program as well.
Reclaimed and Natural Building
Wildwood Construction reclaims buildings by dismantling old barns and houses, and restoring (or replacing with new) damaged or rotten timbers and resurrecting the building in the same or different location. This is done by cataloging each timber in it's original location by drafting the building on paper. This process is a key portion to raising the frame when completed.
Wildwood Construction also considers all aspects of using the most out of the location by the design of the building. This process allows passive and natural light to help create warmth and fuction to reduce energy costs. We also will help to find the best resourses for solar, wind, water energy if wanted for a more sustainable life to you and your dewelling.
Timber frame buildings can last for hundreds of years if properly maintained. This will allow families to pass down a home that was built with sustainablity in mind. If it is a home, camp or retreat, these buildings will never lose their value and will increase in time, thus creating a low cost, energy effiecent, and beatiful home for many generations to come.
